Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

  • 1 pound ground turkey

  • 1 bag frozen pearl onions

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 packet McCormick chili seasoning

  • 1 16 ounce can tomato sauce

  • 1 can rotel

  • 1 can kidney beans, drained

  • 1 can Bush’s mixed chili beans in mild sauce

  • 4 cups beef broth

  • 3 tablespoons cornmeal

Head a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Once warm, add the ground turkey, onions, garlic and seasoning mix. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring and breaking up the turkey, until the turkey is cooked.

Remove from the skillet and pour into a 6-quart crockpot.

Pour in the tomato sauce, rotel, kidney beans, chili beans. Stir in the beef broth.

Cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add the cornmeal to thicken. Cook an additional hour.
