Spicy Italian Sausage Penne

2 jars of your favorite marinara sauce- I use Rao’s
1 box penne, cooked
1 pound spicy ground Italian sausage, cooked
1 ball mozzarella, sliced into 8 pieces
1 pound parmesan, shredded
1/4 cup basil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Spread half a jar of sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Toss the other half of the sauce with the penne.
Spread half the noodles over the sauce in the baking dish. Top with half the parmesan, basil, red pepper flakes and sausage. Top with 1/3 a jar of the pasta sauce. Repeat.
Top the final layer of sausage with the remaining 1/3 jar of sauce. Top with the sliced mozzarella and parmesan, if desired.
Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes. I like to broil for 5 minutes at the end so the cheese browns.
