Caramalized French Onion Dip

Serves: 6-8

  • 8 tbsp butter

  • 2 yellow onions, sliced

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 4oz cream cheese at room temperature, cubed

  • 1 cup sour cream

Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and pepper.

Cook onions for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the onions are caramelized, remove from heat and allow to cool for 15 minutes.

Mix together the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add in the onions and mix until combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
